Probably nothing, the beading has shrunk away from the join, work it back into position.

Thanks, that was my first thought, and tried that, but it's solid on both sides. Guess I'll need to come up with a creative solution.

Rubber/plastic shrinks as it gets older a natural problem, you could try to pull it out then replace it whilst stretching it as you push it back in, a bit of silicon glue would keep it adhered together.

Also look closely to see if a gap has developed where it's pulled away from where it curves downward left and right.

Thanks folks. Never occurred to me that it was rubber or plastic, I thought it was a wood based edging I'll have a go at it next time we're in the van.
