Extra 12v socket
Fitted an extra 12v socket today to the rear ,connected straight to the battery ( fused ) to give me a 12v feed whilst driving, I have 12v chargers for the wife’s mobility scooter so will be able to charge whilst driving

Re: Extra 12v socket
Well done, that looks neat.
I fitted a fused 12v socket with its rubber cap behind the driver's seat on our Kemerton XL, I've connected it to the leisure battery. It means when I use my 12v tyre inflater on our drive I wont have to turn the EC700 habitation electrics on. It didn't matter when we had a Ford, their 12V sockets remained live when parked up, our Boxer's doesn't. I'm sure having an extra 12v socket nearer the front will be come in handy, charging phones, MP3 player etc.

Re: Extra 12v socket
Yes really annoying when 12v sockets die with the ignition off, why do they do it that way, apart from I suppose on Parcel vans, the drivers would flatten the battery leaving things connected.

Can I ask what size the scooter is? And how you transport it?
My wife has a large mobility scooter and I currently use the Easylift system but I'm always on the look out for alternative transport options

The one that we take the most is a mobie solax folding scooter, we have had it about 5 years and it’s a great little scooter , I just lift it into the back and it fits between the seats ,link is just to show which it is ,any question please ask

Re: Extra 12v socket
Very neat installation, had similar problem, though not for a scooter, here's mine, the panel comes complete, all needed is to drill the holes for it to be installed....
The socket with the cover on is 2 x USB
