VW Trident Bike Rack
Hi
I have a 1994 Trident and am trying to find a bike rack I can put on it given it has the ladder at the back. I was looking at the Fiamma Carry Bike rack for a T4 with a single rear tailgate. Does anyone know if that rack will fit or have suggestions of bike racks that fit. Ideally I want to fit my bike and 2 kids bikes on it.
Thanks
Andy

Re: VW Trident Bike Rack
Fiamma make a Carry Bike rack specifically for the VW T4/5/6/range. It carries up to 60Kg, most of which is transferred through two feet to the bumper bar. The frame is big enough to add a third bike rail. Keith

Hi Andy, I have the Fiamma bike rack that’s designed specifically for the single door. Mines a 94 Trident too :-)
It has four rails and we took it to Cornwall last week with 3 full size mountain bike and one child’s mountain bike on it, no problems at all

T4 Trident, 1993, Atera strada rack
Hi there,
We've just been through the same process as you and our search led us to the Atera Strada.
This mounts onto a towbar ball, takes 3 bikes. In order to allow access to the rear storage area via the lifting tailgate it slides back and down.
Note that this doesn't just slide back, but slides on a radius back and down.
I include a link to a you tube video which explains and demonstrates the operation.
We have had ours now for about 6 months and are totally happy with it.
