Waterescaping under Sink area , NuevoEK (09)
After using the sink for washing up, and draining it, we got home to find water soaking into matting on central shelf next to oven, The sink drain is at the rear of this cupboard, and has a 'Sump'/' u bend' half way along the drain pipe at the back of the cupboard. Could water escape from here when vehicle is driven over bumps/ potholes, or indeed from any other connections, though they seem quite tight to me. Is this a common fault in the Nuevo ? We have only had it one year, but used the water a lot last week.
Any suggestions welcome.

Not apart from letting some water down the sink and watching what happens, which I guess you will have done already.
Difficult to makes any sensible suggestions without seeing the drainage system??
I can't think how water could be jolted from the U-bend, unless the joints are less secure than you think??

I did see water dripping from the chassis area by the sink while sitting outside once.
Strange I thought, so looking under the sink area, the whole area was wet and had started to rise up the wall lining.
Found the problem, it was due to AS cutting the waste pipe so short it was hardly into the push fitting. So took it apart and rearranged the pipes a bit so as to get a better fit, I also used so glue, which at the time of the original post was told No No, but 3 years on still has given me no problems. Might also be the drain to the sink, resealed mine also.
Hope I have not got the wrong end of the stick so to speak.

Patrick I would examine very closely every joint in the waste pipe including the underside of the sink plug hole. The connections are all just push fitted together without any glue and with constant vibration on the road and hot water softening the plastic they all come apart at some point. They should if course be glued or at least silicon used but hey ho why do a proper job when you can avoid it. This is of course asuming you have already checked the cold and hot feeds to the taps. Note there may be hidden joints behind cupboards etc so dont assume hidden pipe is one piece without carefully checking. We have been in the same situation as have many ....

We had the same problem in our Broadway, the kitchen waste pipe joints came apart in two different places over a couple of months. I ended up taking all the pipework out( that I could get to) and glued all the joints.
I remember someone saying the joints are deliberately left unglued, but I just think it was sloppy workmanship.
