Draught in Cab Area
I have noticed a draught of cold air coming into the cab area when driving. The cold air appears to be coming in at about knee height. This cold draught can be felt even when the vehicle heater is turned up to full and directed at the floor, through the dash vents or the screen vents. Has anyone else experienced this and been able to identify where the cold draught is coming from?

Can’t say I’ve experinced it even when all our vents are open in the cab when parked up. I will however pay close attention over next few days

Re: Draught in Cab Area
If the cab is a Fiat Ducato then there may be draughts entering through the vents described in these threads on motorhomecraic.

Thanks Davy
Had a good crawl about under the van this morning can't seem to find the vents that are referred to in the links that you sent?

Not on a pc at the moment but this is a well covered topic and I go along with the vents being the cause. I notice it even when the attempt at a cab heater is on hot

Re: Draught in Cab Area
The cab of our 2012 Boxer is exactly the same. Really cold drought coming from just behind the driver from the pillar behind the door. Makes driving quite unpleasant. I will read through those links but reckon it’s linked to the fridge vents and is blowing along the back of the kitchen units. Our van is a Warwick Duo.
If all vans of this type we this bad commercial van drivers demanding their employers bought other brands. Hence I think it’s down to Auto Sleepers.

Re: Draught in Cab Area
Thanks to all for the various responses.
Just to be clear I do not have any draughts coming into the cab area when the vehicle is parked up. The draught can only be felt when the vehicle is in motion and appears to be coming in from the front somewhere below the dashboard level.
Also I have tried in vain to locate the vents that are referred to in the area of the fuel filler but my vehicle does not appear to have them.

Re: Draught in Cab Area
Hi we have had the same problem, but we have been told that it could be possible that the recirculating air and the fresh air intake could have been attached the opposite way round, ie cold air entering the cab when should be recirculating. Now being armed with this information we now use the two settings the opposite way round, and now have hot air In cab. Worth a try!!. It is a vehicle manufacture problem not a motorhome dealer problem. (2017 Autosleeper Kingham Peugeot based)

Re: Draught in Cab Area
I found that air was coming in through the holes in the cab door linings - where the pockets are. I covered them up and it seemed to help
