The yellow leaver is the dump valve, the water that’s coming out from under the van will be the waste water that you have just run through the taps in the van if the waste water valve ( tap ) is open ,, did your seller not do a hand over and show you how things work,

AFAIK there is only the dump valve (yellow lever) and the waste water tank emptying tap that should let water out. If you've got water coming out of the taps there is no leak on the supply side and you can safely set the boiler going to heat the water. Have you located the waste tank drain tap as it may be that that is letting water out?
