Replace gas hoses
Hi
My gas hose needs to be replaced, the connections ferrules on which will have to be cut off, what would be a good method of re connecting I know I can use jubilee clips but wondered if there was anything better

If you don't have the special tool a pair of side cutters works well on the single ear version.

Doesn't a replacement hose come with the ends attached?
I only ask as I'm going to replace mine as soon as our local van shop opens, and the ones I've seen have tails attached.
I know there's a date on the hose, but there are lots of numbers on mine, one reads 1-07 and the other 1991/2. I've owned this 2004 van for ten years now and can't see it having a hose from 1991, so it may have been replaced in 07. Either way I think it's well overdue for a new one.

Not sure if they do come with connections fitted never really looked for them, have always just replaced hose , but will have a look when shops open

I've not looked online, as the hose that would fit my van is sat on a shelf in the closed shop.
It does have tails fitted and cost is about £18. Not really worth bothering replacing just the flexible pipe and having to reconnect tails.
