Newbie needing help
Hi
excuse the naivety of what follows!
We purchased a new Bourton in September last year which for one reason or another is only just ready to be put to day trip use due to the current Covid restrictions. We want to know if the air conditioning unit can be used when not on 230v mains electric ie solar/battery power? when connected to the mains we get the option on the CP control panel to select ACC as well as all the other options of temp setting etc. When disconnected from mains the only option is to set the temperature via the dial with the no further options and the remote to the air con unit does not work. What are we doing wrong?

Re: Newbie needing help
Welcome to the forum - the Bourton is a lovely van, and I can imagine you're desperate to get out in it by now!
Unfortunately, air con is a very power-hungry job, so typically cab air con will only run while the engine is running, and habitation systems (Truma, Dometic, etc) can only run on mains. If you tried to run them on battery you would either need a big bank of batteries or you would get a very short run-time before the batteries were flat.
