Many thanks for your help.I was trying to avoid removing the metal frame work and just remove the upholstered part of the seat. I dont know if this is actually possible. Kind regards Rick

Re: front seats removal
If you just want to remove the fabric it is quite a tricky job. And it will probably be easier with the seat frame out of the vehicle. I think you will find that it is held by a combination of zips, heavy ties, wires and springs plus a lot of bunt over double ended spiky staples. Good luck!

Re: front seats removal
Thankyou for answering. I dont want to remove the fabric from the seat, an upholstery is doing that. I just want to remove the seat but minus the metalwork to take it to the upholsterer. Kind regards Rick

Thankyou very much. I have checked and there doesn't seem to be any wiring on this particular model 2005, but it is something to be aware of. Kind regards Rick.

Re: front seats removal
No, there's no wiring on my 2004 model either.
The four bolts holding my seat in are all removed by Allen keys. If you have the swivel plate, all four can be accessed with the seat swivelled midway between the 90 degree angle. Be aware the seat unit is very heavy.

Many thanks for your advice, its good that others will take the time to help with problems. I bought a torx T40 and that made it easier. I have removed the passenger seat, hope the drivers seat comes out the same way. Kind regards Rick
