France Travel
Travelling to France this year and for the first time I plan to use some of the motorways.
I gather that if you break down on a motorway then the French police must arrange recovery and you will be charged accordingly.
My 2019 Bourton Mercedes I believe comes with breakdown cover/support. In the event of a breakdown on a motorway which incurs a charge is it possible to reclaim the charge back from Mercedes?
In the past used Red Pennant (which is not cheap) but don't want to pay them unless its clearly necessary.

Re: France Travel
This may help. Seems to say MB reimburse cost after you are recovered from the Autoroute.

Hi CJ 1949
IF you are going to use the French motorways may I suggest that you get yourself a Emovis Tag as it is quite difficult to reach the toll machines, just google Emovis Tag and all will be clear hope this will help

Re: France Travel
Not for me, the fun bit of the holiday is seeing the wife drop the card and annoying the French behind us
Also while she is reaching out of the van, I release her seat belt which almost ejects her against the toll booth.
Joking aside, we like to keep a check on the tolls, just incase they rate us as a HGV, saying that been travelling on toll roads for years and never been mischarged.
