stainless gas hose
Hello,
I seem to remember a discussion on here about changing the rubber Warwick Duo gas hose leading from the storage tank for a stainless one. Apparently the standard hose was also felt to be too short. If anyone could supply the specs and a supplier I'd be most grateful,
Thanks, Smithee.

Re: stainless gas hose
Stainless Steel Braided Hose is preferable to standard rubber hose.
Make sure it is suitable for Propane (Pentane resistant) Not sure if there is a spec for this but the normal hose should comply with BS EN599 / BS3212/2
I would go to a reputable supplier such as Calor

My 2013 build Warwick Duo has a s/s hose as standard, so AS should be able to supply. I have found that the spares dept is quite quick in sending parts.

I'm very surprised that you have rubber hose. My Sussex (Marquis Warwick Duo) was registered in January 2010 so is more than likely built in 2009 and it has stainless braided hose.

Was the hose changed before you got the van perhaps? I have seen vans of your era with rubber hoses.

Of course it could have been but I really can't believe that rubber hose would be used on underslung tanks where they are likely to be forgotten.Spospe wrote:Paul

Paul
Have a read of this:
"I've replaced the rubber hose between the tank and the regulator with a Gaslow stainless one as the original rubber one fitted by Autosleepers was too short and under strain at the regulator end. The Gaslow one is slightly longer and is well worth the £30 as it only takes a few minutes to fix.

In that case, I would suggest anyone with underslung tank check if they have rubber hose and if so get it replaced with stainless one.
