REAR REFLECTORS ADVICE
Can a motorhome legally be showing triangular reflectors within the light cluster ?
OR
Must they be round reflectors ?
Not sure but I believe triangle reflectors are for towed vehicles (ie) trailers & caravans ?
Anyone out there know ?
Thanks

Re: REAR REFLECTORS ADVICE
The Road Vehicle Lighting Regulations 1989 covers the use of reflectors, Schedule 18 Part 1 section 5. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Doesn't say if round or triangular, but must have an approval mark incorporating “I” or “IA”
This, I guess, will only appear on the correct shaped reflector.
Trailers reflectors have a different mark, An approval mark incorporating “III” or “IIIA”

Re: REAR REFLECTORS ADVICE
As I understand the situation, it's all specified in "The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989", as amended.
Specifically in relation to triangular reflectors:
"(b) No vehicle, other than a trailer or a broken-down motor vehicle being towed, may be fitted with triangular-shaped rear reflectors."
Other than that I don't believe a shape is specified.

Well spotted, section 8b of schedule 18 part 1.
