Kemerton XL

The tap in our bathroom, serving the folding basin, has become loose. We have had to tape it in position as a temporary measure. It is going in for repair when we return from current trip. It has been awkward to turn since new. 
Has anyone experienced a similar problem and has their dealership found a solution to prevent the problem recurring?

Ps we love the Kemerton XL but what a pity small things spoil the overall package.
