Oven removal in a 2019 Kingham
I have purchased a new 2019 Kingham and I would like to remove the oven as I will never use it creating extra storage in the kitchen.
Does anyone know if this is possible?

Why not keep it and use as storage, like a bread bin etc. , ? then if at some point you sell it, it will be a selling bonus.
In my van I am buying, there is a microwave, never had one in a van and didn`t want one now, but keeping it to use as a bread bin.
Just an idea.
Best regards,
Margaret

Took ours out to locate and cure annoying rattle, two screws on either side of hob screw into worktop edge, isolate gas feed to oven in bottom of adjacent corner cubbard. Pull oven forward about 4”, if look down rear of oven you can unplug ignition feed and uncouple gas pipe, then simply pull towards you and lift away.

Seems a tad impetuous on a brand new van. As inferred by others, such removals can significantly reduce residual value and saleability. There's also a risk that without the rigidity of the oven in place, the whole range of kitchen furniture range, or elements of it, could start flexing during travel, leading to damage. Indeed their could be warranty issues that need consideration.

Is the hob separate from the oven?

We use our microwave all of the time to heat up our great tasting Mcintosh chilled food, otherwise it's a shopping bag store.

Thanks for all replies.
Indeed, maybe a better idea to use it as a bread cabinet or something of that nature.RogerP51 wrote:I have purchased a new 2019 Kingham and I would like to remove the oven as I will never use it creating extra storage in the kitchen.

Never thaught about the rigidity of the kitchen after removal of the oven.
I already had so many quality issues with my "brand new" Kingham that I can not risk to get the kitchen furniture damaged.
So for now I will leave it in.
Thanks to all who replied.

That's a sensible decision. Surely a Kingham can't be said to be short of storage? All those roof lockers and kitchen cabinets plus the space under the bed. I know the double bed is a tad narrow at 4ft and some folk aren't happy with the washroom width but storage looks great.

I asked this as I thought that the hob and oven were all one unit and therefore you were removing all methods of cooking. Perhaps you were asking about the microwave oven and not the '.oven' Certainly removing the microwave would be an easier job and easier to replace when time to sell.Paulmold wrote:Is the hob separate from the oven?

I hadn't thought of that Paul. I know folk do sometimes remove microwaves but as the cavity inside is almost as big as the space revealed by removing I think it might as well stay and be used as an extra locker as it is.
