2019 Warwick XL Fridge
Would anyone with a 2019 model Warwick XL mind checking what fridge they have fitted. Mine has a Thetford N3097 fitted , for some reason a wheel arch cut out ?
Just trying to see if the correct fridge is fitted.
Can't understand why they would fit a wheel arch model ?

Re: 2019 Warwick XL Fridge
hi, yes same fridge model fitted in our 2014. XL.
Wheel arch model N3097. seemed big enough fridge when we researched our ideal campervan and has proved to be well up to the job and big enough for our needs.
I think they fitted that model to allow you more "walking space" while getting to the rear and doing the dishes etc.

Yes ours has the same and there is a wasted void behind the lower vent where the wheel arch would be. I always assumed that perhaps AS bought lots and lots of the same fridge which they then fitted to many of their vans regardless of the actual need for an over wheel fitting, so a purchase based on economy rather than need.

I think that Justus2 is right. Our Warwick Duo (not an XL) uses a wheel arch model even though the wheel arch is well away from the fridge.

Looking into the lower vent , i'm guessing the void from a wheel arch model gives room for the heating ducts and pipework to be threaded through behind the kitchen unit.

Not on the XL, heating vents are all on the other side of the van... The void is about 1 ft square and about 10 inches high and contains a small electrical connector which feeds the fridge circuits. That's a lot of wasted room in a PVC in my opinion....
