Kingham Inbuilt Sat Nav
Hi
Does anyone know why the sat nav on the Kingham is no longer the caravan approved Garmin unit and has been replaced by a Tomtom, and also when this was changed
Thanks
Ken

My warwick xl 2019 (built 2018) has the tom tom. Not found it very acurate, late giving instructions and thinks i am on slip road when traveling motorway are just a couple of examples.Have brought a stand alone Garmin which has been acurate, faultless and pleasure to delegate my route guidence to.If earlier models had a decent garmin then its probably a cost cutting change. All the time they can advertise fitted with sat nav dont matter to them how good or bad it might be,or am i being cynical.

I saw some discussions on a forum that suggested there were problems with the reversing camera when the Garmin was in use, maybe they were linked at that time

Is the TomTom built in to the dashboard/radio? Or did they give you a standalone version?
What have they done with the reversing camera?

Richard. Don't think you will find any reason not to be happy with that model sat nav.

Re: Kingham Inbuilt Sat Nav
Thanks for the info re reversing camera!
The Garmin 770 looks to be the same unit as formerly-supplied the Avtex / Caravan Club unit?
Which I must say, I can't actually fault and quite like (apart from slow traffic news updates).

Just in case you were not aware, the 770 has the ability to add a reveseing camera. Have not had issue with traffic updates, infact i find it on the ball. The power lead on this unit is the aerial for dab reception providing traffic info.
