Kingham Bed
Hi can anyone help? We have a problem with our Kingham bed not locking in the day position. We have viewed other Kinghams which the bed locks, ours any pressure on the back, it slides the bed back to sleep position!! A question for those whose bed does work, is the bed supposed to stay up in several positions or just one? Many thanks.

Thanks PLOUGHLIN, I'm not that clever to do it your way. Regards

My Kingham does lock in its most upright position, and in a position that is almost flat. I do find it much easier to operate from the outside with the rear door open. Don't know whether that's any help!

Re: Kingham Bed
We find we need to push the bed up as far as it will go and pull it back down in to the locked position. If we don't go all the way up first, it doesn't lock in place.
Like Pengy says, it's easier to do from the back of the van.
From memory, there are three positions - completely flat, slight raised and raised (for want of better descriptions!)

Re: Kingham Bed
My Kingham has two raised positions reached one after the other You have to push it to a third higher position to release the rachet to allow the bed to return all the way down to being flat again. I initially thought the 3rd position was faulty as it wouldn’t stay there but it serves only to release the ratchet. It’s not easy to push the bed as the mattress sticks on the side of the van. It’s a lot easier to do from the rear doors by pulling the frame.

Mine was the original thread linked to, and we ended up getting the bed replaced under warranty as managed to prove there was a fault with the mechanism. Since it was replaced it has been brilliant
