In the centre just below the seat cushion you will see a lever with black knob above the mains socket. Slide that sharply to the left whilst pulling on the plate below. Sofa will then slide out. Back goes flat...and you should have an infill piece attached to upholstery cloth behind the seat back.Carolwalkersherriff wrote:You Can Not see how to make up double bed got no manual, Slngle bed not big enough.
Packing away is simply a reversal of the above. Here is a photo to show you where i mean.

Not really....unless regularly used it's quite stiff anyway. For now you can use a piece of cloth to grip with but ultimately will need something more permanent as that metal bar will quickly put a nice gouge in someones leg!Carolwalkersherriff wrote:Thank you the black knob is missing and just a metal piece sticking out very stiff. It is a very simple catch arrangement and a wipe with grease or maybe petroleum jelly should do the trick and free up the movement. I would ask AS if they have a replacement knob to go on the end of the release lever, or maybe you have a spare nut of the right size?

You may find that just gently pushing in on the frame (or up or down) may make the catch easier to release. I had a similar mechanism on a previous A/S conversion and it was only the pressure of the carpet-covering on the seat base that exerted enough outward force to make the catch hard to release.
