Ford Duetto -Auto Sleeper 1999 Empty Ford Duetto -Auto Sleeper 1999

Post by PeterHat Tue Mar 12, 2019 8:47 pm

Hi - The strong wind recently has blown the cover off the roof vent.  I have discovered rain water coming in through the roof vent (when closed) in the ceiling above the cooker. Do Auto Sleeper still do these parts and is there a cheaper alternative. I live in South Devon. Any advice gratefully received,

Many thanks,
Peter

The obvious suggestion is to ask AS themselves if they carry spares. I have had work done by them in the past on my MK5 Duetto and they had all the parts to hand.

From memory the roof light on a MK5 is a standard item, I think a 400mm fitting? It should not be too difficult to source one if AS cannot help.

Peter,

Both that vent and the one in your shower are MPK (the centre one is 400 x 400). Best replacing the entire vent as it's not much cheaper buying the cover only. *Note; if your vent has a roller blind which i suspect it will, you don't need to buy a new blind, the old one can be refitted to your new vent.

Highly recommend dealing with this chap in Glasgow. His prices are hard to beat and i've bought lots of parts from him...including a roof vent only last year!
