Oil Change on a Type 4 Transporter
Hi All,
Has anyone done an oil change on Type 4 Transporter(1997). The filter seems very inaccessible and the large cover under the engine even appears to cover the sump drain plug. Perhaps what I thought would be a simple DIY job should be left to a garage. Would be a pity as I have bought engine-flush, filter and oil

Hi Caulkhead
I've done mine and it's dead easy.
Once you've removed the engine pan you can get at the filter and sump nut.
Follow this link on the T4 Forum for a pictorial guide.

Hi
As Stevo has said, once you have removed the Sump cover you will have easy access to the Drain Plug and the Filter. You will also need a Filter wrench.
