Access to spare tyre
Hello, Please can you help us source a tool for releasing the spare tyre? We’ve been driving our M-reg Duetto Auto Sleeper camper caravan for two years without knowing we had no access to the spare wheel – until we had a flat tyre!
The tool we need is probably about 2 feet long with a moulded crank or T-handle. Just above the middle of the rear bumper is a small hole, and the tool we’re looking for goes thru the hole to release probably a nut allowing the spare type basket at the rear of the vehicle to fall down enough to access the spare tyre.
Appreciate any advice or sources to access the tool.
Kind Regards, Bill Lemmer – [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Good find!
BTW Bill - it's generally recommended that you don't put your email address in posts on forums, because it's too easy for spammers to find it (they use programs that "spider" the internet automatically looking for email addresses to add to spamming lists, which they then sell).
On this forum you get a few hours during which you can edit things out of your previous posts, and then you are no longer allowed to.

Re: Access to spare tyre
Bill,
Just a tip. The spare is held up in the bay by a metal "claw" welded to a wire cable, both of which are open to the elements......and that's the only thing stopping that spare wheel from dropping off. So it's a good idea when lowered to slap an amount of grease on the cable and holder as it never get's used until you get a flat, or worse still.....the spare suddenly departs when flying down the motorway!
