Spare Tyre
I have looked in my manual how to drop the spare wheel, but i can't see where or how to drop it.The manual says the spare wheel retaining bolt is located on the outer edge of the rear right floor.
There is a hole but nothing to attach the socket.
Maybe I'm having a senior moment.

Re: Spare Tyre
Assuming the base vehicle is a Boxer, then I can describe the procedure on a 2015 version Nuevo: get on your hands and knees, immediately to the rear of the offside wheel. About a foot or so in from the side (on mine, which has a mudflap, it's to the rear of the mudflap) you'll see a 5-sided socket. It's into that you fit the combination of wrenches in the toolkit, by which to wind down the spare wheel. An awful system.

Hi Rich
Suggest you ring Warners of Tewkesbury. They are very helpful, and (incidentally) pretty competitive for servicing etc.. Paul, the Service Manager, is a really nice chap and couldn't be more helpful.

Re: Spare Tyre
Thanks for the replies,i have just rung A/S service, its not as described in the hand book !!!
You have to get to it behind the nearside rear wheel, where you can attach your sockets you need 3 tools.
I do not think some things you need to do A/S are not user friendly i.e turning the gas off at the underslung tank you need to be 10stone to crawl underneath. When going abroad.(moan over)

Re: Spare Tyre
I used to use Autocad in my job - Cartographer/Graphic designer.
Can you see in that photograph the slight squashing of the copper pipe bends? Several years ago, as an amateur, I fitted my own central heating and for 15mm copper piping I used a spring, a pipe bender for the 22mm and I had to get the 28mm done professionally. My point is, if the bend ever came out like those in the photo, I cut it off and threw it away. I know that copper piping is more expensive these days and as a consequence thinner, but surely you can still be bend it correctly. Perhaps it's different for gas? Moan over!!

I know, I should have put this thread in the 'Grumpy Old Git' section
