Sliding Door Fly Screens
Hello
We have a new (March 2019) Symbol Plus based on a Peugeot Boxer Van. We love the huge opening created by the sliding door but would like to have the option of a fly screen for when our little friends are most active - especially those of the Scottish variety!
We've been looking at the Dometic FlyTech FT200 which looks perfect - although a little pricey at £350. Does anyone have any experience of this or similar products? How easy to install are they, how easy to operate and how reliable? Would greatly appreciate any feedback or other recommendations.
Many Thanks
Des

Re: Sliding Door Fly Screens
Depending on the clearance between your door and the back of fitted furniture, it’s unlikely to fit.
I hoped to get one for my Kingham, but post [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in the linked thread put paid to my hopes.

We use a net curtain on a rod across the door opening

OH sewed this together for ours, held up with circular magnets on tabs, which pull away from the door frame to allow entry.....

There is another make, Horrex , but can't see if it fits RHD vans.

Re: Sliding Door Fly Screens
Thanks for all of the helpful responses. I think there is a chance the FlyTech might fit our van - I'm going to query Autosleeper and Marquis about it this week. I'll get back with any news.
In the meantime, we've also had some success with netting and magnets. The arrangement is surprisingly quick to assemble - though not quite as convenient as a permanent installation. The edges are not very tight though, so I don't think it would quite be up to Kinlochewe (aka midge central!)

That arrangement has worked perfectly well all over the West of Scotland.
