rear nearside Symbol door storage

Hi, me again, out of curiosity has anyone considered or actually bolted a storage box onto the rear nearside door of a Symbol, Boxer van, either self made, slim type of box made of thin plywood and glass tape, or a small roof storage box with shaped, glassed in shelves inside. to carry two folding chairs and other bits and bobs, but not too heavy, definately not more than 2 bikes weight. Just a thought.
