Adblue frustration
Is anyone else frustrated by topping up Adblue on the Peugeot Boxer van?
I seem to be alone
I have just done my 3rd Adblue top up and I expected I would be able to top up without any issues.
It seems I haven't learned the lesson properly but at least I got all 10 litres in this time but again I had to use my workaround of jamming the valve open with the shank of a screwdriver.
I know Peugeot say to use a filler tube that is at least 10cm long but where to find one?
I checked all the bottles in Halfords.
This is the Adblue I used. It must be a mainstream common filler.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The filler part is actually 4cm (bit that fits inside the filler tube on the van)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The filler valve is 5cm inside the van

I use green ox? From amazon. The narrow bit of the filler hose is 8 cm. I need to shove it right in though, but works fine. I have used a shorter hose before with problems you describe

Ah OK. I see. Thanks.Lorfal wrote:I use green ox? From amazon. The narrow bit of the filler hose is 8 cm. I need to shove it right in though, but works fine. I have used a shorter hose before with problems you describe
I have been wondering if there is a filler kit that I missed and I was thinking about 3D printing something.
Now I see that bottles with long spouts do exist.

Re: Adblue frustration
You’re not alone, you simply haven’t read the other posts on this subject...it’s a tight fit and the 10ltr containers are very difficult to use, I punched a small hole in mine to get the adblue to flow well!
