electric hook up trips

Hi,a new member here,just bought a trooper 2.5 tdi with a bilbos high top roof conversion,the previous owner had a lot of probs with the original roof workings so had this top put on.
Just a quick question are the electrical hook up trips the same as in my old 1998 t4 trident, ie make sure there off first hook the electric up then press the test button to make sure it trips then turn them on.
I presume the control box is in the wardrobe area as it wasn't next to the gas taps as in my old trident.
