Leak rear off side Empty Leak rear off side

Post by rainbow Sun Dec 09, 2018 9:56 pm

I have a leak on the rear drivers side of my Warwick xl. There is a damp patch above the rear doors and on the removable panel which covers the rear lights. I suspect that water is seeping in from where the roof bars are attached. Anyone else had this issue.

Hi Rainbow,
I have a Kemerton XL which I think had the same roof rails as your Warwick. Although I have not had a water ingress problem I have removed the rails as they are cosmetic only and needed to be better. I found that the bolts that so called hold the rails on were at best just about tight with some loose. It's the sikaflex or similar sealant which seems to give the rail its fixing via the pads which support the rails.
It could be that some of the sealant has let go thus allowing water to seep in.  Perhaps a new generous application of sealant might cure any ingress. up!
