Nuevo fridge winter cover
MHi everyone,
I have a 2016 Nuevo that I will be getting ready for winter soon.
I have had the van from new and was supplied with 1 fridge vent cover.
The manual isn’t very clear about fitting the cover.
Does any one know if it should go on the top or bottom vent, or could it be that I should have 2.
Thanks
Pete

2 is normal, depending on your fridge type a long and shorter one.

Nuevo Fridge Cover
Firstly thank you for reminding me to refit mine after this hot summer.T25Pete wrote:MHi everyone,

I also have a 2016 Nuevo and it came with two identical covers
If you look at the cover one of the long sides has a couple of clips on it.
Offer up at 90 degrees to the vertical so the clip, clips over the bottom fin of the fridge vent.
Now fold it towards the vertical vent on the side of the van and gently push it towards vent and it clip on.
(Well at least mine did)

Thanks both of you,
Sounds like I was short changed and need to get a second cover.
Cheers

Winter fridge vent covers . keep out the cold drafs from round the fridge. When windy. I also tape up the microwave vent as that is a draft source .

Yes indeed, whereas the surround of the fridge freezer is sealed, the microwave ain't. During winter the cold draft is enough to cut your face in half. Easy to cover the 10cm hole from outside but mindful when using the van to remove it. However there being so much mandatory ventilation surrounding skylights and windows etc, not forgetting hab door and cab area, to cover up microwave vent probably won't make much difference.Molly3 wrote:Winter fridge vent covers . keep out the cold drafs from round the fridge. Re: Nuevo fridge winter cover
I have cut two rectangles from sheet vinyl flooring to fit behind the Thetford vents. I cut the depth carefully so that I can position them so that they completely cover the louvres for winterer layup or I can position them a little lower so that the top louvre is open if I want to use the fridge. So far I have not used it with the covers in place and I would certainly check whether tbe ventilation was sufficient if I did.
