Shower wall
Having got our shower area resealed by the bench toilet, I noticed that the dealer managed to rub an area with his drill chuck while removing one of the toilet retaining screws, also some of the lining has gone by the door area near another screw. Thus when we were away last week and used the shower, in these areas the wall board turned a dark colour, due to getting wet, it soon dries out, but long term damage?.
Before I return to Dolphin, has any one any suggestions on how to seal these areas, as I guess that is what they will try and do, replacing the walls I would think is a no no.
Just would like to be one step ahead of them.
Many thanks for any suggestions.

A great shame that the person carrying out the repair didn't own up to report the mishap to the service manager/department. Obviously this doesn't help the reputation of Dolphin in your eyes and the importance of being honest towards the customer in the first instance. Having bought all four vans from Dolphin, and experienced excellent corrective measures during their warranty guarantees, I'm sure they will put things right for you. Regards

Thank you, I must agree that I have found them to be excellent up to this episode, nothing to much bother and having done work in the past to a high standard. This time chipped lining on the shower wall and toilet cassette not fitted at all well. I just had a senior moment and trusted their work!
I just wanted any advice on repair etc before I contact Tom Willis so I am pre armed as they say. I am sure as you say they will sort it out. The technician who did the work I have not met before, not like Paul, who seems to have moved on, who I have known for over 12 years.
I will take my wife next time!
Phone call on the way tomorrow, watch this space.

Thanks, Thinking about it, I will leave it to them, then they have a record of it, if it causes trouble later.

I mostly agree as I have also found Dolphin pretty straightforward in their dealings. This was marred somewhat by the last habitation service they did. Since it was February I specifically asked the technician if the tanks had been drained. I was given an emphatic yes. When I got home I just thought I would check ...... and guess what.....water and not just a dribble.

I really hope so, I have asked for Tom to inspect the repair, nothing like going to the top!
Times like this make me want to sell up, only a small thing I know.
Thank you.

Re: Shower wall
Update on the shower wall.
Took the van in today and showed them the problem. Was first met with the response, not damaged by us. Oh well was expecting that.
Then things got better! Van was moved into their workshop for inspection and shortly we were met by the service owner, who owned up to the damage being caused by a drill chuck by one of their technicians.
They are going to replace the wall paper on the wall and as a temporary repair have stuck a clear patch over the damaged area which is ok with us.
As they have to totally remove the bench toilet, they will reseal the joints where it joins the walls with polyurethane sealant of the type used by window fitters as normal sealant does not adhere to the plastic on the toilet due to flexing etc. Make not known. Time will tell how it lasts!
I hate complaining as I am not a fussy person, but I was looking a long term damage from water ingress and glad today was over and got a result.
Thank you Paramedic, for your support and they did what you said they would as a reliable family run dealership and own up.

Good news on the wallpaper and time will tell if this sealant does the job.
Thanks for the update, Richard.

Re: Shower wall
That's indeed an excellent outcome and am very pleased that you are satisfied with the outcome. I did wonder if my endorsement of Dolphin would be somewhat unhinged to the point off losing faith in my own personal satisfaction of their customer service if your experience today was the reverse.
