Hightop windows
Hi does anyone know if the Hightop windows on my 1997 Symphony are bonded to it or clamped in a rubber surround please.

Re: Hightop windows
If I remember correctly from my 97 Symphony, they are in rubber surround.

On my Harmony, which is probably very similar, only the toilet window is in a rubber.
The others are clamped in.
I removed one and refitted by using CT1.

I was going to try the one over the sliding door but it looks like I need to dismantle a lot of the interior to get to the inside bit. Might try some Captain Trolley.

That worked on our Clubman, park on the level and in full Sun, feed in the Tollys, let set and repeat untill it pools, takes time but worked on our Clubman rear window!

Re: Hightop windows
Sorry to say that in my experience Captain Tolley's is only ever a temporary fix. I found that it would hold for months when pootling around my home town, but as soon as I got onto mountain roads (or any really rough terrain) it would let go immediately - the sides of the roof flex too much in those conditions.

Well thanks for that, I think , if nothing else it may prove where the water ingress is coming from. If it proves to be the window I will know that a "proper" repair will be needed.
