Hi folks, as I am new at the Autosleeper lark, (18 months) I have been looking at all the "newer Vans" and none seen to have the upper windows in the higher part of the
van like our camper Winnie has if you look at my avatar you will see the top windows. I find these windows very useful in the summer as they can be left open during the day when it is hot whilst the rest of the van is secure. They are also useful to look out when you get up in the all together and wander around without showing

Just a  view on the newer vans that I see about, comments anyone.

Best regards and a Great Summer to you all. Mike   courtesy

We liked the upper windows in our Symphony for the same reasons. Most newer vans have lockers all around the top so nowhere for windows to be fitted.

Cheers Paul, ere indoors and I talked about this whilst away the weekend and noted the lack of upper windows on new vans. including a 14 coach built out for its first trip.

On my Topaz I had those high windows which I did like, although apparently they are prone to leak due to the sloping side according to the guy who came to do my habitation check, no good just resealing, better job to take window out and refit. I haven`t high windows in my coachbuilt, as there are lockers, do have a Heiki roof vent which makes it  a lot lighter, than the high windows.

It's not just top side windows, we went to the NEC I think it was last year and were very disappointed at contemporary campervan design, particularly where over cab storage has been replaced with a skylight.

Is it me! Empty Top Windows

We agree about the top windows. Very good for night time ventilation and make the top of the van light and airy. Best of all you wedge youre smoke alarm in them when using the grill. It must be just enough draft to stop the site knowing you are cremating the tea. Whistle1
