Location of crockery on 2004 T4 Trident LE
Whereabouts in the later T4 tridents did the crockery rack sit and was it fixed in?
I have seen earlier T4s with 3 over cab lockers and the crockery sits in one of those, similar to our previous T25.
However our 2004 Trident LE is missing its crockery and rack.
I'm tempted to liberate the crockery from the T25 before I sell it but need somewhere to place it in the T4.
Richard.

No idea Richard, but we were underwhelmed by both the Melamine crockery as provided (although it's very good quality we don't like plastic plates) and the rack in which it was stored. Your van may well be very different, but still worth mentioning what I did.
Firstly we bought a set of Corelle crockery. (Not the mugs which are a bit of a scam. They are not made of Corelle, but are ordinary pottery.)
Then to save a lot of space I made the storage rack below. We can now get everything in one overhead locker conveniently situated above the preparation surface.
Hope this is of interest.

Hello Magnum 302 - Here is a photo of where the crockery rack is in my 2005 Trident. I also took crockery and rack out for "safe keeping"

Thank you for the replies.
Is crockery supplied as a standard item or an option on Auto Sleeper conversions? There is no evidence in any of my cupboards of a rack/tray ever being installed.
I shall have a look through the usual outlets to see if I can obtain an original but I can see some carpentry being employed to make my own.
Richard.

Re: Location of crockery on 2004 T4 Trident LE
The crockery in my Montana was missing when I bought the ‘van but the plastic rack was in place. I made a few inquiries here on the forum as to what make and style of crockery was being used at the time(1998). I think it was Terry who said it was probably Biltons, Coloroll, Tulip so checked with call to A/S. who confirmed. So googled it and up came a full dinner service with place matts etc for £25. On eBay uk As far as I know the crockery came as standard back then as I have had two othe A/S ‘vans from ‘94 and 2001. A Rambler GL and Symbol and bothe had a crockery set

I have a quantity of Bilton's Spring Bouquet but not a full set. I think it may be too old for your van as I know it was used in 1997. There is a set of plain white with silver rim on eBay at the moment, don't know if that's the correct style.

Thanks again for the info.
I have seen photos of early T4s with the Spring Bouquet but mine is one of the last T4s so may well have had the white/silver rim option. The set on Ebay is collection only and some distance from me.

....same here, on the Trooper - IMO the space taken by the rack, spread between the two cupboards, was so wasteful that it and the crockery set is in the loft, unused. There are more efficient ways to to keep items (good quality plastic, not delicate china) together.
Having a full set of original items is fine and desirable, especially at resale time, but perhaps not essential for everyday use.

Thanks for the offer Paul. I have a set of two spares for all my crockery plus tea and coffee pots, casserole dishes cups serving dishes and so on. I like having the set in in the camper and use it. The way it is stored dos’nt take up any more room than a loose couple of plates cups bowls etc[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Location of crockery on 2004 T4 Trident LE
The crockery set in my van had long been removed either by one of it's previous owners or a Trader. The shaped racking i find an absolute pain and total waste of space which is already at a premium in pvc's anyway.
Pottery crockery wouldn't last five minutes on some roads i drive not to mention the unnecessary weight. I just slap a pack of cheap disposable plates in one of the slots when i go away.
