Either take it out if you do not use it or pack it well to stop the rattles.

No I mustn't!!
Yes I will.
Send the missus up there for a snooze while you drive. That should quieten it - unless she snores!!

As a new member you need to be alerted to the fact that sometimes you will get very serious and possibly helpful answers. At other times they will be a bit mischievous but with humorous intent. The proportion varies, but in your case it currently stands at 50/50!!!!

Hi Keith
He'll catch on when he comes back to look at the forum, and if anyone has had experience of silencing that particular rattle I'm sure they will try to advise him.
Which was the helpful answer b.t.w.?
(The humorous comments bring the question back into view if nothing else, sometimes quite deliberately. )

Is it the metal catches rattling in their holes? Mine does that on one side so I place a cloth over the catch pin before I release the spring. That way the cloth takes up the space between the catch pin and it's recess. Hope that helps.

Re: Trident upper bed rattles when travelling
I gave up trying to rid our house on wheels of rattles years ago.
Instead, I had a new radio/CD/USB/SD player fitted with front tweeters, four mid range (two in the cab, two in the hab) and a massive subwoofer behind the driver's seat.
Whilst on the move, I play Wagner, Pipes and drums of the Black Watch, Scooter or Basshunter and can't hear any rattles.

Thanks for all the answers. I'll try the serious ones and I enjoyed the others.

How did you class mine, Robin - serious or other?
