Spring Motorhome Show , Newark
We have just booked to go and camp at this next weekend. Not looking for a van but could do with some bits and pieces and it's always fun walking round the camping areas to see all the various vans.
We haven't been to this show since the first one which we have found out was 6 years ag, help doesn't time fly.
Anyone else going ?

We will be there for the third year in a row. We will be in the C&CC area. Symphony with ASOF stickers on front and back screen.

Will look out for you. Although we will be in the general camping part not organised enough to have been with any of the group areas.
Good chance to try it out without hook up.

So far it looks like just the two of us. I'll try to look out for your Stratford (is it noticable as a Stratford because you said you were removing graphics?).

Its still got the stripes and Autosleeper above the cab and top of back doors. Sides with Stratford are pretty much as supplied apart from the huge AS badges. Shame the only damage to any of the graphics is the on the bit we want to keep, typical though.
It has lost the Stratford letters on the bonnet (carefully saved)
Better change my logo picture :( love that photo at Grummore.

Re: Spring Motorhome Show , Newark
Really good to meet up with Paulmold at Newark. We wished we could have stayed on last night and enjoyed the sunshine.
Instead we we got to go up the A1 and were passed by lots of the vans from Cleveland motorhomes going home.
Think we were the last to arrive 11.30am on Saturday morning so No daffodils for us.
Had a good weekend though and bought a few bits. Shame there were no bike rack companies there, Camperlands here I come.

Was good to meet you as well Jane, (and your other half but didn't catch his name). Your new Stratford looked great after you removed some of the graphics. On another thread I was a little uncomplimentary as to why you would want to remove them but after seeing the 'before' photos and seeing the 'after' in the flesh, I understand fully and congratulate you on the finish achieved. Looked really good.
Many stands missing this year. No Brownhills, no Spinney, no Devon. In fact a lot of larger dealers were absent. Also many accessory stands missing - no O'Learys, no clockman, no Towsure etc.
Entertainment this year was really good considering it's free at Event Development shows with the Grumbleweeds topping the bill on Saturday night. Why did we have to pay £15 each to see them at an MMM show last year but free at this one? The only letdown was a mind-reading act on Friday, in my opinion total rubbish.
Next show for us is Peterborough, anyone going?

Yes I realised no O'Learys I wanted a table leg clip and a couple of other bits. Looks like an order to AS I think.
We went to see The Business in the Pig and Whistle didn't fancy the Grumbleweeds queue. People were queuing before we had cooked tea but we must eat later than some I think. The Business were very accomplished musicians but didn't quite read the audience and their musical tastes properly. A couple of people dancing to The Mavericks but then back to Snow Patrol, The Human League etc. They got people up at the very end when playing Johnny be good and Van Halens Jump.
Sorry OH's name is Simon.
Thank you for the kind comments about the van and I will try and get some nice pictures to put on here.
