Thule 12v slide out step
Good afternoon everyone
The slide out step on our Warwick Duo has stopped working; it is stuck in the retracted position. When you press the button by the sliding door, there is a ‘click’ from the relay over behind the driver seat, but nothing happens. I have had a search on the forum and online, and most problems seem solved by cleaning and lubrication, but we cannot even start that process with the step in place. I have downloaded the installation and maintenance leaflets from Thule’s site, but first we need to get the step out!
My husband is thinking of dropping the whole unit down, but before that I thought I’d ask if anyone has had a similar problem? Or is there a way to manually slide the step out?
Thanks

Re: Thule 12v slide out step
We had this problem on our Warwick, new step fitted under warranty, no difference.
I followed the advice from one of our members on here and bingo, back to normal.
Give it a try
Enter the CP set up mode by pressing both up and down arrows from the AS screen. Scroll up or down till you come to the step setting. I moved it up to the max value and it worked. I then backed the setting down till it came out to the normal distance and touch wood all has been well since

AS screen? Don't think we have one of those.
We have a 2014 model, maybe not so up to date as yours.

I do not know your van, but if you have one it should be over the sliding door. That's where it is on 2015 duo's on.
You can find instructions on Sargent web site if it helps.

we have the basic Sargent control panel, EC51. No up/down arrows or ways to programme/adjust things. Just various buttons for the 2 batteries, water/grey water, pump. When pressed they show the levels of each on a column of LED lights. Not very sophisticated.

Re: Thule 12v slide out step
After checking and testing various bits & bobs and a conversation with Sargent, the problem turned out to be the EM50 intelligent interface adaptor which had failed. New one now installed and all seems well.
Could AS have put this interface in a more awkard position? Almost impossible to get your head, hand and a torch all in a position to see what's what, without removing the drivers seat!
