Recommended sites near Chatsworth
Does anyone know of any good sites near Chatsworth for the flower show this year (the one in Chatsworth is full)?
I know that everyone defines 'good' differently, but for me, I'm looking for somewhere small, quiet, hard standing preferred, hook up if possible but not essential, not bothered about club houses or shops or facilities other than CDP, rural location preferred.
If anyone has stayed in the area and can recommend a place, that would be most helpful, as it gives me somewhere to start looking.
Many thanks
Sally

It's great website. If you look at the home page you can filter it to give sites near public transport, adult only sites, open all year etc etc.Sally wrote:Thanks Paul, I don’t think I’ve seen that website before. Re: Recommended sites near Chatsworth
I've stayed at the Square and Compass but that was many years ago. I pass it a few times each year and there are always vans there but reviews are mixed.
I've not actually stayed on the Square and Compass site, we used to rally at Rowsley Station just down the road, but I've eaten in the pub many times. It is an excellent location for Matlock, Bakewell and Chatsworth with a nice small shopping village next door. The Peak Rail Heritage Railway runs between Rowsley and Matlock - I do believe it is a clean and well run site, it would be my first choice.
