Re: Forum Notifications
Same for me - despite having checked my profile (which has, all along, been set to receive the various notifications. And to receive Newsletters - which I haven't.) It's a useful service which I miss.Paulmold wrote:Not had an email notification for couple of weeks.

Re: Forum Notifications
Ive alerted our host Cymro who are looking into it, but to provide them with the info they need we need to know if this is affecting everyone or just some of us? We know all staff are affected & new members registering are not receiving notification that their account is active. I also am receiving no notifications upon new accounts being registered.
So if members here are not receiving notifications please let us know? As we are having difficulty advising our hosts of the severity of this problem.
Regards
Ed

Re: Forum Notifications
What newsletter? Was that the document that "felt" from its description by one or two who had received it as possibly spam or phishing? As I recall one of our moderators suggested that it had not originated from admin.daisy mae wrote:Yes I am receiving them as per usual, also have had the new news letter, thank you.

Re: Forum Notifications
I don't think I have ever received notifications. I get pm notifications and the newsletter the other day but that is all I have seen. What am I missing?

Your recall is correct, but Admin later clarified that the newsletter is legitimate, it's a new feature automatically sent out by the forum host.

Can't help, as other than allowing newsletters, my email preferences are turned off.

Re: Forum Notifications
Rose has wisely looked up the date when she last received a topic notification. That may help to identify what system change has caused it. My last notification was a day earlier - 22nd January.

Re: Forum Notifications
I'm getting notifications but about 48 hrs after the post they refer to was posted. At first they were blocked as spam by my ISP until I released them and added the address to my allowed list. The same happened to the newsletter, both blocked as spam and received later than others seem to have received it.

Re: Forum Notifications
Well it seems some are getting notifications while some aren’t - We are not aware of any changes we’ve made that would cause this, so can only think it’s an issue our hosts end. At the moment they have checked the forum out and they’ve drawn a blank too!
With regards the newsletter as already stated this is legit, if you check your profile setting you will see this new feature, it’s enabled by default.
There is another new feature where you can tag keywords in posts with an # so if you are posting about a Nuevo you can type #Nuevo then people can search posts for these keywords.
Regards
Ed

Re: Forum Notifications
I'd noticed the 'tag' in the profile but hadn't a clue if I'd missed it before or what it was for.
