Why do they hide the switches? Empty Why do they hide the switches?

I asked this question in another post where the new owner of a van hadn't a clue as to whether or not he had electric water heating as 
Auto-sleeper hide the switch in the back of the cupboard under the cooker. There is no logical sensible reason to do this I am sure. Today I spent 30 minutes head scratching and then an hour of actual work to move the hot water thermostat to the window pillar. Tomorrow i'm going to move the 240 volt switch to the vacant spot the former thermostat was in,I expect that will take all of an hour too ( head pre-scratched).[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I would recognise the right hand side of the Symbol travel seat any where.
