Re: Nuevo engine
2.2HDi 130 BHP with 6 gears is very good indeed.

Re: Nuevo engine
2.2 120bhp with 6 gears in my Sussex is much better than the 2.2 100bhp with 5 gears I had in our 2006 Nuevo.

Re: Nuevo engine
We have the 2.2 100bhp but is was remapped prior to our purchase to 120bhp. It does the job very well. Not designed for speed but has ample if needed.

Re: Nuevo engine
Seems fine to me. 2003 Nuevo, 30 mpg and rarely want to go over 60 anyway!deka wrote:Does anyone know if the boxer 2ltr Nuevo engine is any good?? "come on Peter or Roger this is one for you"

Re: Nuevo engine
Not saying it wont go over 60, but it is completely at home at that speed. and still feels there's grunt left. Anything to avoid a 6th gear (IMHO, pain the the proverbial!).

Re: Nuevo engine
Long time no see. Since we last saw you we have downsized to a Warwick Duo which has the 2.2 engine and its quite acceptable as performance goes and economy.
I have driven Nuevos with the 2.2 and wouldnt have thought you would be disappointed
Lets see you on some rallies. Our rally at Spinney (July) isnt far for you down the A50

Re: Nuevo engine
We have the 3.0ltr, awesome engine! I tow a bike trailer some times, take a monkey bike on a carrier, don't notice the difference! Performs like a "sports" van, and still gives 27mpg.
Very happy with it.

Re: Nuevo engine
2 litre diesel in my 2004 Nuevo EK and I've never felt it lacking in power. But then the earlier vans are a lot lighter than later ones. We've been up most mountain passes in the Alps and Pyrenees and it copes very well. The only time it tends to slow down is on the long uphill sections of continental motorways. Their gradients seem to be steeper than ours.
It never returns less than 30 mpg.

That's nice to know, Cheers. I'm on the look out for one of these so it won't bother me which one comes along. Deka

Re: Nuevo engine
Perusing my Symbol manual, it shows that because the 2.0 litre engine is lighter you get an extra 70kg of usable payload over the 2.2, don't know if that's the same for the Nuevo but could be useful
