Trophy sliding toilet doors
Does anybody know the correct (or any) way to access the sliding door gear on a '94 Trophy, one of mine seems to have come off?

Re: Trophy sliding toilet doors
I have a Haynes manual for a T5 Transporter which gives clear instructions for the removal of the sliding door. I assume that the 1994 Trophy was built on the T4 Transporter and it's quite likely that the door fitting is common to both. It looks to be a straightforward operation but does require two persons to handle the considerable weight.
If you remove the door lining I think you could probably deduce how to detach the door. You may not actually need to remove the door if you can see where the problem lies.
A Haynes Manual soon pays for itself !!! Keith

Probably best to phone the experts at A/S and ask how to access it then.

Hi just been out side to have a look at mine, very similar to a drawer sliding rail, you can access some screws on door frame rail maybe you could loosen it enough to refit to door, it might be possible to "open up" the door frame rail a little so you could re-insert the door rail sorry if that,s no help (I would probably do something along those lines)

Hi Phil
I did check but Haynes doesn't do toilet doors !!!!!!
I think Mojo has the answer, and I have a feeling that you wont like what AS tell you.
I've just been looking at my Topaz and there doesn't appear to be an easy approach to the runners.

Okay, so I spoke to Auto Sleepers to day (really helpful guy called Mark), what do you know, this is apparently a common problem with Trophys and Topaz and has a really easy fix. Carefully inspect the wooden surround and look for the tiny plugs of plastic wood (about 2mm across) where the frame has been pinned to the structure. With the appropriate sized pin punch, just drive them further in and the frame should lift out!
I've ordered the replacement runners from AS as they still use them on Topaz. I'll see if I can post pictures of the repair when the parts arrive.
Thanks to all of you that tried to help.
