Damp issue
Hi everyone hope you can help. Damp carpet in back of Duetto [by doors] and in little cupboard under fridge. I can't see any obvious points on back doors and dry all summer and autumn.Fridge vents have no covers so could that be the problem? Any ideas please.Thanks.

Re: Damp issue
Have you been out driving on wet roads or just parked up in the rain?

Re: Damp issue
It would be difficult to trace the cause of the damp, even with the van to hand but the way you describe it, I would suggest you investigate the raised wooden floor under the carpet. If the wood is holding moisture, the carpet will absorb some. In the summer the damp is able to evaporate off before you notice it, but not at this time of year.
If you find the floor damp then it could be that water is getting into the void between the van floor and the raised floor. That could be from leaking water pipes of similar or a rust hole in the floor - so many possibilities.

Re: Damp issue
Just a thought, it could be a leak from water pump, which is close to that area, or as Peter says above, leaking pipe, most likely to the sink. I had a previous camper where the plastic grip on the 'pipe to fitting' had snapped, and when the pump was activated a small stream of water came from the joint.
There are air vents in the floor in that area too, worth checking for any sign of excessive corrosion allowing water ingress past the wood floor.
