Hi Spanner,  have been rereading this thread, here are a couple of questions wrt to your setup with the CBE CSB2 batterymaster.

Q1. If on EHU would the charging regime of the EC500 be set to charge the Leisure battery only from the PX300 ie not "Smart" setting rather "Normal".  This would allow the CSB2 to charge then vehicle battery and the Solar regulator could top up the vehicle battery (set to Smart) as and when it had sufficient power to overcome the feed from the CSB2 or would there be conflict?

Q2. With the engine running and the alternator putting out a high voltage (Mercedes Smart alternator feeding standard Merc AGM battery) say 14.8V the voltage drop through the cabling etc would mean that only 13.8V or so would be seen at the Leisure battery.  Would the CSB2 be OK with that reverse current or does it just block any reverse flow?

Thanks
MikeJJ
