Hi Mr Cruz
Just arrived back from Peugeot Scarboro after having the spare wheel carrier checked (Recall), to find a box from Mirror guard.
They look just the job, not putting them on yet as the self adhesive pads won't stick at minus 4.
I would'nt buy them from the website as the guards were just stuck in a cheap carton with no packaging and £4.41 postage.
They look substantial enough, abit star Wars, maybe!! in my view not worth £119, if you can get them for below £100 at a show, then you can make up your own mind.

Thanks for the update Boaby, agree they do seem alot of dosh but what's the alternative.. surprised someone else isn't producing these unless they are patented by mirror guard?
Have to say I'm rather disappointed to have emailed them about a bulk purchase with no response... Admin had the same lack of response.. business must be good I reckon

Hi Mr Cruz
You must be under snow by now?
I phoned Paul at Mirror guard and asked about a discount for bulk before buying, but he just laughed at the request, so business must be good. my wife has been walking around with them on her shoulders like a storm trooper.

Hi Boaby
Not too much snow here to be honest, most was gone by Monday evening / Tuesday morning... Good point about the adhesive in the cold weather, in the meantime you could always wear them as elbow protectors in case you slip over on the ice
Think Paul at Mirror Guard is a bit short sighted not offering a discount for multiple purchase but it's his choice, it's a shame because if he can knock them out a £100 a pair at the shows and pay for a pitch or stand (which must be pricey) then I'm confused as to why he cant offer a motorhome forum like ASOF a small discount Wasn't so long ago he was posting on forums under the name of Kartracer2003 as a supposed "purchaser" of mirror guards, but was actually promoting them till he got busted on MHF's by Zebedee who closed this particular thread HERE
I've seen Kartracer2003 on other forums with similar posts... so we invited him on to the forum to openly promote his mirror guard / mirror protectors, he's not responded (or joined up that we are aware of) you just cant help some people it seems

Mirror guards for Nuevo
Hi Mr Cruz
weather has warmed up enough to fit the mirror guards on the van, they look just the job and hope they do what it says on the tin.

Not that I need them for my 'van', but I have seen them at the shows.
If they are 'easy' to fit, are they 'easy' to remove? (as in pinch!!)

Hi Boaby.. thanks for the update, glad to hear you have them fitted! any chance of a pic? would be interested to see how they look from the glass side.. Haven't ordered any myself due to Mirror Guard not answering our emails, not a great starting impression

Hi PB.. having not seen them in the flesh myself I cant say for certain, but I have read they are difficult to remove due to the adhesive, but as with everything if someones determined enough they'll have a go!

Mirror Guards to fit Nuevo/X250 models
Hi Mr Cruz and Mr Boxer
The mirror guards are a very tight fit and the 3 self adhesive pads seem to grip well, I have marked my reg number and post code on the inside of the guard, however if someone wants to steal them, nothing much else I can do.
Mr Cruz
can I send you some photos direct to your e-mail address, I have a phobia about photo hosting sites, that's why I haven't put any photos on the forum.
you can order direct from the website or ring him up, I think you will like them, they are very substantial.
I will wait until the sun comes out before I get the photos.

Re: Mirror Guards To Fit Nuevo / X250 models
Boaby has kindly provided these photos of the mirror protectors / mirror guards to fit Peugeot X250 models like the Nuevo and many other Auto-Sleeper models.
I think the covers match the cab paintwork a treat and look great...

Not sure when the next show is going to be as the web site doesn't list which individual shows they attend? £100 certainly sounds better than £120 though!
Mirror Guard are on the list of traders to be at the Motorhome Spring Fair at Newark 23rd to 25th March.

Thanks Paul.. hopefully will be calling in as we are trying to work this in with a trip away, hope he's in a discount mood or else that's one less set he'll be selling! will send MrsCC over to the stand.. She's a tough negotiator (as Andrew Cooper at Spinney's knows)

Re: Mirror Guards To Fit Nuevo / X250 models
Well we finally got our Mirror Guard Protectors at the Newark show over the weekend, very pleased with the look of them fitted...
MrsCC did her negotiating very well (as usual) and we got a pair for £100 with some reluctance from the guy on the stall I might add, who claimed they are made from an oil based product and that they were costing more to manufacture due to the increase in oil prices
I didn't think much of his selling tactics to be perfectly frank as he had a sign on the stall stating RRP £130.00 but the * SPECIAL SHOW PRICE * was £110.00 yet the website still states £119.00 including Post & Packing, (as of this evening 25/03/2012) to me that's just being a tad dishonest!
Anyway the above aside, have to say this is probably the next best thing we have purchased to date after our Taylor Made silver screens.. I actually clipped a vans mirrors going through Thorney on route to our campsite so can at least now worry a little less now I have them fitted!
The only things I wasn't entirely certain about is the adhesive pads which are made up of 3 short strips as can be seen in the photo which I would have expected more than this considering this is the only thing holding them in place! also I found the covers could have been a little deeper (2mm) so the rubber gasket actually came just over the front edge of the mirror to give it a more secure fit around the mirror itself.. the finish however is very good and the colour is a perfect match for our cab (although the photos don't show this as the sun was setting as I took the pics) But they do look superb though!
Here are the fixing strips...
Not very theft proof and wouldn't take too much effort to pull them off?
or even over time fall off (you decide)

Mirror guards to fit Nuevo/x250
Hi Cruz
Look good don't they? are they worth it, only time will tell.
Mine are on very tight, helped by the local milkmans Vito, who clipped the outside mirror on saturday morning before my failed attempt to drive down to Newark.
Its going to be another great sunny day.

Hi Steve
My outside mirror has taken two hits since fitting the Mirrorguards, the last hit was with a transit tipper on a narrow bridge.
The transits mirror glass was shattered and the only damage to my wing mirror was a one inch crack to the guard.
Well worth the money, hope your modification works for you

Just had a set off Ebay £99, fitted quite well came with lubricant to rub on rubber trim so that they slide over existing mirrors easily.
