The offside sliding window on my ‘98 Duetto doesn’t open, the push button goes down but has no effect and I can’t see any obvious way in to the mechanism, is it easily fixable or a job for a mechanic?

Most likely it is just stuck from lack of use.
Mine was, and even now is very stiff.
The channel needs lubricating. You could try hot soap and water, and keep trying the window.

Good idea, thanks. I’ll give that a go.

As Jolly says they do have a tendency to stiffen up and sometimes difficult to budge, mainly from lack of use....we don't have enough hot weather in this country to keep opening them! One of mine got hopelessly stuck (the other side was ok for some reason!) and i used soapy water, then left it a few minutes. I then got a pair of rubber gloves and using both hands, pushed the glass open. Once you've done it you need to open/close it a few times.
