The P4 is only a hot air blower totally separate from water heater and you could replace with a Propex heatsource system. Google Propex for details.
You can get the P4 reconditioned, someone regularly advertises the service on eBay.

It seems that hot water was an optional fitting on the T4-based Tridents, using the venerable Carver Cascade - but that may have been obsolete by 2004. There are more recent alternatives, but of course you would have to cut a hole in the side of the van and upgrade all of the pipework.

Diesel heaters are also available (Webasto, Eberspacher, MV Aero), but they are shockingly expensive, and you are unlikely to get one installed for much less than £1.5k - hot water is possible from some (e.g. Eber Hydronic) but that's going to be even more costly and more difficult to install.
