Heki Roof light damage
During my recent tour i discovered my Heki 2 rooflight got damaged. Fortunately i managed to get it secured enough to continue driving but knew two of the three hinges had come away. I hoped that it was just the hinge pins but needed access to a ladder to assess the exact damage so waited until i came back home. Unfortunately it's not what i'd hoped for. The far right hing pin has completely gone but the mounting lug the pin goes through is sound so that's a simple replacement....but the centre mounting is another story. The mounting lug has snapped away meaning a new hinge cannot be fitted (to the centre one). The white base frame is what needs replacing but searching around various sites i cannot find anywhere selling that part alone.
The dome is in perfect order and both rams were only replaced two years ago with new, so i'm loathe to shell out for a new complete roof light (£400+) just to get the base frame.
Any ideas where i might source this particular part? I'm going to contact my insurance tomorrow to see where i stand on this, if the cover extends to accidental damage of roof lights.

Leisureshopdirect have frames on their own at £267.
On eBay there are a few Midi frames so I can only assume that the sellers bought a complete unit , used what they needed and are now selling the bits they don't need. You could do the same. Otherwise it's finding a breaker.

Cheers Paul, will have a look at that. I know it's going to be an expensive job either way. Considering the price of them, in my opinion they are quite poorly made. The hinges are just nylon based including the pins and i can't think of a worse colour to use than black for something that's going on a roof!

Re: Heki Roof light damage
Thanks GP but the main issue is the frame which the hinges attach to. I've had a look and the centre mounting lug (which is part of the frame) appears to have broken. I'm going to have it checked out to be absolutely 100% before ordering anything. It's a shame really as i have a couple of new hinges.
