Warwick Duo rear table mod
Latest mod it to the rear table on our Duo. Already modified as per Nimbus and jennyandpeter to sit vertically when stowed.
The free standing table is fine but a bit of a fad to get out just for a quick lunch, the rear table is just too small also. So, bought a new table top from AS, v quick, thanks AS and DPD.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
This pic shows it stowed, held up by an elastic

This pic shows it deployed and its leg in place.
Used a spare bit of piano hinge left over from the drawer front mod, see earlier post. Leg is a folding walking stick, no longer folding but now in 2 sections which stow in the wardrobe shoe rack.
Now have a usable table for most meals, free standing one in in the bathroom can best be used outside when on a site and the awning in use
If you want to copy this, the top cost circa £55, the leg £7. You need 2 spacers to move the chrome rail fwd by 15mm, made mine out of plastic I had, also the screw attaching its end brackets need to be 15mm longer, other than that not difficult.
Table is fairly steady, certainly steady and strong enough for two lunch plates. The wine glasses and condiments will go fine on the original!!
I'll make a white bung to hide the leg hole.

HI Rich
Bought the top from Autosleepers, with the vehicle build no, its in your glovebox, they even knew its colour etc. Bought a stainless steel piano hinge online. This is not a hugely difficult diy job.
The one bit that is tricky is that you have to make spacers to move the pivot rail fwds by the thickness of the new top. I made mine out of plastic, you'll need 15mm longer screws to refit it.
The leg was a folding walking stick, it is now 2 pieces, stored in the wardrobe, just plugs into a hole in the new top.
Btw you'll also have to space out the bracket the original table top leg sits in.
If in Norfolk, and have the top, I'll do it for you!!! Need one hour, perhaps two!

Re: Warwick Duo rear table mod
We do not have a rear table on the door , this is the one I made push to lock runners fixed under the wardrobe.
Very useful as instant access.

Rear table plastic fittings layout
Hi, I've recently bought a Duo and the rear table was lying in the small wardrobe so I obtained the required black plastic fittings to secure the table to the chrome bar on the rear nearside door. I have established how the two clips and pins attach the table to the bar but can't see how the table is supported against the door. I would be grateful for any photo indicating the underside of the table and supporting plastic brackets.

Here's what I think you need........pilgrim7 wrote:Hi, I've recently bought a Duo and the rear table was lying in the small wardrobe so I obtained the required black plastic fittings to secure the table to the chrome bar on the rear nearside door. The small black plastic thing with 2 screws near the bottom of the pic is what the brown wood effect bracket, shown folded sits in to support the table.
Note, however, that the table is normally stowed pointing down, its pointing up here, and sits behind the seat cushion end, a real pain to get out, hence my mod using the elastic bungee, which works perfectly, BTW.
I think that answers your question, but, bear in mind, mine is modified to a double table (Excellent in use IMHO, but then again, I designed it!) yours will be similar but thinner.
If you need more............ask!

Re: Warwick Duo rear table mod
Every one of these back door tables I have seen point downwards when put in position, so I've put a spacer under the locator on the door so that mine now sits level. I've just bought a 'coffee table' from AS so as to get an exact finish to make a fold-up worktop extension. Ridiculous price for the coffee table though as I'm sure Ian found out to make his double table.

Agreed Paul.
Think mine was circa gbp55 or so!
I, too, had to add a shimto the door locator, and mine is now used to calibrate local spirit levels! Be a lot easier if the vansat level though.
The double table works really well, youcan just need a folding walking stick to make the leg. Mine now stores in the wardrobe

Re: Warwick Duo rear table mod
Thank you IanH and Paulmold for your explanations, things are much clearer now. In the fixtures kit provided by AS there was no hinge to secure the wooden support bracket to the underside of the table, so a trip to B&Q is on the cards.
There are two additional fixtures that came in the fitting kit, one 4" castellated strip and the other is square with an internal semi circular shape held in place by a spring (*) are they part of the table support on the door?
(*) I can't attach a picture using the quick reply option, sorry.

Can't say I have either of those. I only bought the top on its own and I don't have anything on the door table that match your description.pilgrim7 wrote:

In which case then it's probably a general pack of fixtures for the van which will cover various areas. Thanks for your advice.
