Living in the system..... Empty Living in the system.....

Post by groundhog Sat Jul 29, 2017 12:46 pm

Just saw an interview with a youth following the riots in North London in essence he said

"Of course we have no choice but to sell drugs and carry knives" when asked why he went on to say "We don't want to live in the system"

Perhaps he and his kind should try the cistern instead of the system! tap_fingers

Makes the new-age/hippy dropout types of the sixties/seventies seem quite lovable by comparison . . .
where did it all go wrong?

Made me so angry.
Even the reporter was taken aback.
I am very interested to see how they all react once the results of the post mortem are made public.
I have my view on cause of death, and believe the police will be exonerated.

Disappointing that the BBC should broadcast the interview, IMO.

It's one thing for BBC News to have their Vox Pop interviews with people that know naff all about the subject in question (which they do, frequently) but to have some idiot spouting drivel like that on a main news programme does not show much sense of judgment by the news team.

In fairness, the reporter's reaction was appropriate, I guess.
