Lost top window from Trident Empty Lost top window from Trident

Post by andrewjc Tue Jul 25, 2017 8:20 pm

I have a 2006 Trident, and I've lost one of the windows in the high roof - I set off driving with it open in high wind, and it blew away! When I went back to look for it, I couldn't find it - the verge and neighbouring fields were covered in brambles, and it could have blown a long way. Does anyone know where I might find a replacement? I've asked Autosleeper, and they said they had none - the company that made them went bust a few years ago, and they bought the remaining stock, but it was now all gone. Thanks!

( They do replacement windows for motorhomes as well as caravans. We have dealt with them and very efficient they were too.)

I've seen other members recommend these people. Another avenue to investigate perhaps?

If you have to wait a long time for a replacement, perhaps cut a piece of  Perspex to fit the window aperture and fit it with a windscreen seal. This would keep you mobile.  [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I fear, at our age Dave, that this is the best we can hope for. Some days I'm quite grateful if I can remember something long enough to write a Reminder note.....

Yes. I nearly said, "Two minds with a single thought between them." but that's being too cruel to both of us!!  snigger

I've never dealt with that firm, but reports suggest they have a huge and comprehensive stock of rescued parts. Worth a try.

First you have to find a pen, then it doesn't work, then find some paper, then remember what it was you were supposed to be writing down as a reminder, then find the piece of paper later - if in fact you ever remember what you were trying not to forget in the first place.
