VW T4 2.4d Topaz battery

What size battery for starting the vehicle is right for a T4 Topaz with the normally aspirated 2.4 litre 5 cylinder diesel?

My batery is currently 63AH, but I am thinking of replacing it and want to know what size battery to fit.

Our 1st van was a 2.4 - 5 pot and it was fitted with a 110 Ah battery from new (presumably by VW)

Apart from the Amp Hours you also need to check what is listed on the battery label as CCA (cold cranking amps) with the very cold weather we can get the higher the CCA the better. Make for easier starting. When I bought my last Landrover it had a good battery on it but it was only a 535 CCA no probs in the warm weather but as soon as we got a frost No Go. Replaced with the right battery 750 CCA it now starts down to -10 c first time every time.
